Home / People / Dr. Erin Cook, LPCA, CDF Dr. Erin Cook, LPCA, CDF Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator for Human Services Bachelor of Arts degree in Human and Community Services as well as a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC and an Ed.D in Organizational Leadership from Gardner-Webb University. My research focus with my doctoral work involved adult learner’s professional readiness. I am a certified Career Development Facilitator, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA), and am certified in the Myers Briggs Type Inventory. Prior to my faculty role, I was a career counselor where I focused on student professional development. I also worked for several years in enrollment management, overseeing graduate admissions. In my free time, I love working within the community through volunteering. I serve local families as a Guardian ad Litem Volunteer for District 27B. I also have a small side business (called Artsy Acorn) where I refinish furniture and do hand lettering.
