Background

Dr. Luedeman has over 30 years of professional and academic communications experience—including a long-term stint as head of university communications at USC Upstate and the management of her own communications firm, LL Communications. Her research interests include collective memory, ethics in public relations and propaganda, grounded theory, the Kennedys, the prolific influence of music in various contexts as well as media effects and the changing landscape of news delivery. Luedeman has won numerous awards for her public relations and writing efforts, is involved in professional and personal community activities, is a graduate of Leadership Spartanburg, a member of AEJMC, and has presented her research at regional and national conferences. She and husband, Eric, have a son, Daniel, and daughter, Marianne.
