Carolina Crown to Showcase New Routine at Spangler Stadium on June 17 

photo of Carolina Crown practiceBOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Carolina Crown, a world champion drum and bugle corps based in Rock Hill, S.C., will perform its 2017 show on Saturday, June 17, at Gardner-Webb University. The event is free and open to the public.

More than 150 musicians with the South Carolina-based corps have called Boiling Springs home for the past month to rehearse the 2017 show.

Set to begin in Spangler Stadium at approximately 8 p.m., the performance will prepare the group for their official debut at the Drum Corps International (DCI) Tour Premiere on June 22 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. Following a national tour, Carolina Crown will participate in the DCI World Championships Competition in August.

Carolina Crown won the 2013 DCI World Championships in Indianapolis and has been a top-five finisher in the competition for the each of the past three years. Since 2007, the organization has partnered with GWU for campus space to practice for its national tours.
