Naeem Fazal of Mosaic Church Speaks at Gardner-Webb Dimensions Jan. 14

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The first Dimensions program of a new semester at Gardner-Webb University has special emphasis after a group of students took the lead to make it happen.  Naeem Fazal of Mosaic Church in Charlotte, N.C., will share his testimony on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 9:25 a.m. in the Paul Porter Arena, located inside the Lutz-Yelton Convocation Center (LYCC).

“The reason I invited Fazal to speak at Dimensions is due to the response of students involved in campus ministries,” said Dr. Tracy Jessup, vice president for Christian Life and Service and senior minister to the University.  “They heard him speak at a fall retreat at Ridgecrest and were so inspired by his message that they asked me if I would contact him about coming to Gardner-Webb.”

Fazal, a Pakistani that was born in Kuwait, grew up in a Muslim household.  He was a teenager during the Gulf War and moved to the United States in 1992.  Once he found Christ, the course of his life changed forever.  Fazal planted Mosaic Church in 2006, where he serves as lead pastor.  The church’s purpose is to reflect diversity by involving different cultures, ethnicities, generations, and religious backgrounds.  Fazal is also co-founder of Charlotte’s citywide outreach initiative called “What If Everyone.”  Its purpose is to create opportunities for people to serve their community in practical ways.
