University to Offer Public Program During Dimensions on Dec. 1

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.—Gardner-Webb will celebrate and reflect on the holiday season with its annual university Advent services during the Dimensions program on Tuesday, Dec. 1. The service is free and open to the public.

GWU professor Susan Bell will be the featured speaker for the Advent service, which is the final Dimensions program of the fall semester. “Susan came to Gardner-Webb to teach art at the beginning of my sophomore year as a student,” said Dr. Tracy Jessup, vice president of Christian Life and Services and senior minister to the University. “Although I never had her for a class, she was one of those professors who took a genuine interest in all students, especially as it related to their spiritual growth. Susan is a wonderful model of effectively engaging Christian faith with one’s academic discipline.”

The Dec. 1 service will begin at 9:25 a.m. in Stewart Hall inside the Tucker Student Center on the GWU campus. For more information about the program and Dimensions, visit gardner-webb.edu or call 704-406-4277.

Auxiliary aids will be made available to persons with disabilities upon request 48 hours prior to the event. Please call 704-406-4253 or email servicerequests@gardner-webb.edu with your request.
