Qualifying Students May Reduce Tuition Cost up to $3,000 per Academic Year

New students, who are applying to the criminal justice program or the human services program for spring semester 2020, may be eligible for these grants.

Qualifying students may reduce their tuition cost up to $3,000 per academic year. “At Gardner-Webb, we understand that affordability is among the pressing issues for you,” said Mavia Lee, assistant vice president for digital learning. “That’s why we’re taking the stand to address this need, so you can have access to the benefits of a private, national institution.”

Admission requirements include:

  • Begin Jan. 8, 2020 (Application deadline is Jan. 3, 2020)
  • Maintain a minimum 12 credit hour registration for fall and spring terms and minimum of six hours in the summer terms
  • Pursue a degree in Human Services or Criminal Justice
  • GPA: 2.0 or higher
  • Be continuously enrolled through the program (spring, summer, fall through graduation)
  • FAFSA (if payment option completed for current academic year)

A degree in human services from Gardner-Webb prepares students with a foundation in the principles, theories and skills needed to succeed as a human services practitioner and helping professional. By graduation, students will be able to serve in public, not-for-profit and private organizations.

The criminal justice degree from GWU gives students a broad overview of the legal system, from law enforcement to the corrections process. Graduates are prepared for advancement in an array of specialized careers.
