On that day, donations to the University will benefit the GWU Annual Fund, which supports student financial aid and scholarships. According to Sara McCall, director of GWU Annual Giving, this is the third year the University is offering #DoubleDawgDay. She is eager to once again see the generosity of the GWU community as it rallies support to keep students on track for graduation.

“We want Runnin’ Bulldogs everywhere to join us on social media, donate, and make their own ‘Double Dawg Dare’ challenges to classmates and friends that day,” McCall shared. “It’s fun, it’s easy, and it makes a big difference in the lives of our students.”

Each year, nearly 97 percent of students receive some form of scholarship or financial aid, and a large part of that assistance is directly connected to the GWU Annual Fund. Organizers are excited about the upcoming #DoubleDawgDay and encourage first-time donors and long-time supporters to participate.
