Hunt School of Nursing Recognized for Offering Online Resources for Personal and Professional Development

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.—Gardner-Webb University’s online nursing programs have achieved national recognition., an education information website, ranked the GWU Hunt School of Nursing (HSON) as No. 9 in the country.

“The Hunt School of Nursing has a proud legacy of providing a faith-based nursing education within a close-knit, supportive learning environment,” observed Nicole Waters, HSON dean. “We are honored and blessed to receive this recognition of our nursing programs.”

The website’s editors reviewed over 250 schools to compile the list. They analyzed data from the National Center for Education Statistics Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and a methodology that took into account graduation rates, admission rates, tuition costs and more. They also praised the school for offering online resources, such as counseling, personal and professional development, and academic and technological support.

“The faculty and I are committed to our HSON philosophy, to prepare students to care about and for individuals through the lifespan, to enhance the status of the global community, and to make significant contributions for God and humanity,” Waters affirmed. “We are dedicated to the success of students and to advancing the professionalism and the profession of nursing.”

Gardner-Webb offers an online RN to BSN program for undergraduate students. Graduate students can select one of three different tracks for their online MSN program: nursing administration, nursing education or family nurse practitioner. Post-graduate certificate programs in nursing administration, nursing education and family nurse practitioner are also available.
