Ceremony Planned to Celebrate Conferring of Hundreds of Degrees

a student holding her diplomaBOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb University will award nearly 225 graduates during the 2017 summer commencement exercises on Saturday, Aug. 5. The ceremony is set to begin at 10 a.m. in the Paul Porter Arena of the Lutz-Yelton Convocation Center, located on the campus of Gardner-Webb University.

The event will commemorate the achievements of students in traditional undergraduate, degree completion, and graduate programs of study. Various students will participate in the commencement exercises by offering the invocation and reading scripture. Scholastic awards will also be presented.

The University encourages attendees to use the hashtag #GWUGrad17 to share their social media posts including photos, tweets, and Facebook status updates.
