Two Ceremonies Planned to Celebrate Conferring of Hundreds of Degrees

students holds up diploma at GWU commencement in Spring of 2016BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb University will award more than 550 degrees during the 2018 spring commencement exercises to be held Saturday, May 12.  Ceremonies are planned for 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the Paul Porter Arena of the Lutz-Yelton Convocation Center, located on the campus of Gardner-Webb University.

Of the two ceremonies planned, the ceremony at 10 a.m. will focus on the accomplishments of over 350 students in the traditional undergraduate program and the Degree Completion Program. The ceremony at 3 p.m. on Saturday will honor over 200 students who have successfully concluded their graduate studies.

Various students will participate in the morning and afternoon ceremonies by offering the invocation and reading scripture. Selected graduates will be honored with academic achievement awards, and the Most Outstanding Male/Female Graduate awards will be presented.
