Greater Shelby Community Theatre to Perform at GWU’s Millennium Playhouse

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb University will host “Mid-Life! The Crisis Musical” presented by the Greater Shelby Community Theatre on Jan. 9-11 and 16-18. Show times are 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and students. Admission is free for all Gardner-Webb students, faculty, and staff with an ID.

Three men and three women make up the cast of this wacky musical that takes a comic look at the “age old” conditions and situations faced in mid-life. From reading glasses and mammograms to weekend warriors and proctology exams—all are lampooned with a Saturday Night Live non-sensibility. Audiences will enjoy this song-filled, hilarious look at the trials and tribulations of aging.

Due to its content, the play is recommended for mature audiences. The Millennium Playhouse is located at 110 S. Main St. in Boiling Springs. For more information, visit Greater Shelby Community Theatre online at

Auxiliary aids will be made available to persons with disabilities upon request 48 hours prior to the event. Please call 704-406-4264 or email with your request.
