Series of Events to Highlight Internship and Career Opportunities for Students on April 3-5

Professional Development WeekBOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb University students will participate in several activities next week—each offering a variety of internship and career development opportunities—from April 3–5 as part of the Godbold School of Business Professional Development Week.

On Monday, April 3, the School will host the ‘Professional Women’s Conference:  Unlocking the Secrets to Success’ from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Tucker Student Center.  Although the event is free to students, there is a charge for non-GWU students. Registration is available at Gardner-Webb.edu/women. The event is sponsored by HomeTrust Bank (Shelby, N.C.) and the Center for Ethics and Entrepreneurship at Gardner-Webb University.

In conjunction with the Cleveland County Chamber, an evening of professional networking is planned for Tuesday, April 4, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. ‘Networking at Night’ will be held Tucker Library, located in Hamrick Hall on the campus of Gardner-Webb. This opportunity is sponsored by the Center for Ethics and Entrepreneurship at GWU.

The ‘Godbold School of Business Career Fair’ is planned for Wednesday, April 5. Presented by the Human Resource Management Class, organizations in attendance will include Carolina Chiropractic Plus, Cleveland County Family YMCA, the Forest City Owls, Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County, IMC – Metals America LLC, Prism Medical Products, Verizon, Waffle House, Walmart Distribution Center, Wells Fargo Advisors, and more.

Students should dress in business-professional attire for the event, which is scheduled for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Tucker Student Center’s Stewart and Faith halls. In addition to a variety of professional opportunities, the career fair will offer prizes for students in attendance.
