Kristin Rollins to Offer Perspectives During GWU’s Dimensions Program on Feb. 16

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.—Kristin Rollins, an expert on the steps to building healthy relationships, will speak to the Gardner-Webb community during the Dimensions program on Feb. 16. The program, free and open to the public, begins at 9:25 a.m. in the Lutz-Yelton Convocation Center (LYCC) on GWU’s campus.

Rollins has worked with Safe Harbor, an organization that provides support to adults and children impacted by domestic violence. After graduating from Belmont University (Nashville, Tenn.) in 2000 with a degree in broadcasting, Rollins has served in a variety of Christian ministries, leading and establishing campus groups at high schools and universities in Tennessee, and speaking to women and teens throughout the southeastern U.S.

“Building and cultivating healthy relationships is an intergenerational topic, but it is an especially important one for college students,” related Dr. Tracy Jessup, vice president of Christian Life and Service and senior minister to the University. “One of the reasons I felt led to ask Kristin to address this issue is due to her experience in working with a ministry whose mission is to provide a continuum of services for victims of domestic violence and their children.”

Rollins also enjoys opportunities where she can team up with her husband, Trey, a worship leader, to offer a male perspective on healthy relationships. Her passion is centered on encouraging women and young people to influence their culture by developing a healthy identity of who they are in Christ.
