Entrepreneurship and Citizenship Program Open to Rising 10th, 11th, and 12th Graders

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.— Gardner-Webb University’s Godbold School of Business will host the High School “Bringing Executives and Students Together” Program (B.E.S.T.) Aug. 8-10.  Open to rising 10th, 11th, and 12th graders, the program is designed to encourage, empower, and energize area high school students by introducing them to the dynamic world of entrepreneurship and local citizenship.

The B.E.S.T. Program is offered at no cost to the student.  Daily activities include workshops on business, finance and marketing, guest speakers from local businesses and civic groups, campus tours, outdoor activities, and the opportunity to meet new friends.

“Our area high schools are doing a wonderful job teaching kids about business principles,” said Dr. Anthony Negbenebor, dean of the Godbold School of Business.  “Through the B.E.S.T. Program, we try to add to that value by taking those principles outside the classroom and teaching the students to apply what they know.”

The application deadline has been extended until July 9.  For more information, contact Natetsa Lawrence at 704-406-2260 or tlawrence@gardner-webb.edu.
