The wellness center is named after J. L. Suttle, Jr., a longtime Shelby businessman and former GWU trustee, in gratitude for his lifetime of service and support to Gardner-Webb University.
The Suttle Wellness Center contains a Fitness/Wellness room complete with state-of-the-art fitness equipment, a recreation room with ping pong, pool, air hockey, foosball, and a lounge with a big screen T.V. Complementing the Fitness/Wellness room is a free weight room located off the Bost Gym floor.
