GWU IMPACT Center Awarded Youth Partnership Award

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland County has named the Gardner-Webb University IMPACT Center a recipient of its annual Youth Partnership Award.

According to Dr. Tom LeGrand, director of the GWU IMPACT Center for Christian Ethics and Social Responsibility, a focus of the Center’s efforts this year has been to mobilize student volunteers to work with the new Boys & Girls Club program at Graham Elementary School. During 2016, eighty-five Gardner-Webb students served in some capacity at either Graham or James Love elementary schools in Shelby, N.C.

The Youth Partnership Award is given annually to local businesses and organizations that contribute to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland County. This award recognizes organizations that make significant contributions by sending volunteers, donations, and/or financial gifts.
