Center for Innovative Leadership Development Presents Annual Event

A free event held at Gardner-Webb University each year is bringing together educators from around the region and state. The eighth annual Summer Leadership Conference is scheduled for June 25-27 in the Tucker Student Center at Gardner-Webb University, and hundreds of individuals are registered to attend.

Sponsored by Gardner-Webb University’s Center for Innovative Leadership Development and the K-12 Teacher Alliance, the conference will offer three learning tracks including “Developing Capacity in Learning Organizations,” “Becoming a Leader of Teachers,” and “Collaborating, Communicating, and Building Learning Cultures.”

Several sessions will be offered throughout the two-day event, each designed to provide information in the areas of teacher efficacy, organizational leadership, and research presentations.

“We are once again very excited about the conference offerings and believe attendees will benefit from a wide range of subjects, expertise, and topics discussed,” said Dr. Doug Eury, Dean of the GWU School of Education. “We have worked to provide sessions that will give leaders, teachers, and administrators a renewed sense of purpose and a higher motivation to address critical issues within their organizations.”
