Community Collage

Leaders, Students to Discuss Diversity

Gardner-Webb University will connect students with local leaders for discussions about diversity and community during a “Collage for the Moment” event March 6 on campus.

The program, organized by the Gardner-Webb Impact Center, will begin at 7 p.m. in GWU’s Tucker Student Center. Participants will include local education, faith and law enforcement community leaders. Activities will include a panel discussion about topics such as race and human interaction, a question-and-answer session for students, and small-group conversations.

“Collage for the Moment” is part of an ongoing series, prompted by students and faculty seeking to have honest, reflective conversations about race and diversity issues in the community. It is presented by the Impact Center, which promotes service learning, creation care and sustainability, social entrepreneurship, and events to advocate for ethical reflection throughout the campus and the community.

GWU students may earn Dimensions course credit for attending “Collage for the Moment.” Community members are welcome to join in the event.
