GWU Welcomes International Students from Six Continents

As undergraduate students moved back to Gardner-Webb University this week, they were joined by 23 new international students from six continents. For the fall semester, GWU welcomes a total of nearly 90 international undergrad and graduate students.

“These students add a richness and depth to our campus and community that is significant,” said Gail Peace, GWU Assistant Director of International Programs. “They bring a lot of energy and world view to the campus and people are very receptive and welcoming. The international students tell me that people here are very nice and kind.”

The new international undergraduates are from Turkey, Germany, Spain, England, Norway and Belgium (Europe), Ethiopia (Africa), Brazil and Curacao (South America), Canada (North America), Taiwan (Asia), and Australia. They are majoring in business or exercise science. These student-athletes will participate in soccer, tennis, golf, Lacrosse, women’s basketball and men’s swimming.
