GWU Holds First Pastors School
 
Boiling Springs, NC- Gardner-Webb University is set to hold a Pastors School: Reaching and Preaching for the Next Generation- Building Bridges not Barriers on May 26-28.

Join fellow ministers at Gardner-Webb University for learning, conversation and reflection on some key tasks in ministry for the next generation. Eddie Hammett, noted author and leading ministry consultant, along with Dr. Chuck Bugg, preacher and pastor, will be the primary leaders for the 2008 Pastors School.

Other faculty and staff from the GWU School of Divinity and Department of Religious Studies and Philosophy will also lead in times of worship, devotion, and reflection on the theme.

“We are excited about our first of its kind Pastors School.  It is a major event that reflects Dr. Bonner’s continuing commitment to strengthen the ties between Gardner-Webb University and the churches whom we serve,’ John Bridges, director of Church Relations at Gardner-Webb.

The Activities Include:

Monday
•    3:00-5:00 p.m. – Registration (Ritch Banquet Hall)
•    5:30 p.m. – Banquet (Ritch Banquet Hall)
•    7:00 p.m. – Worship with Dr. Danny West (Dover Chapel)


Tuesday
•    9:00 a.m. – Morning Devotion with Sophia Steibel
•    9:15 a.m. – Theme Interpretation with Dr. Robert Canoy
•    9:30 a.m. – Eddie Hammett
•    10:45 a.m. – Break
•    11:00 a.m. – Dr. Chuck Bugg
•    Noon – Lunch and Conversation
•    2:00 p.m. – (Free) Nine Holes at Riverbend
•    7:00 p.m. – Eddie Hammett
•    8:15 p.m. – Dr. Chuck Bugg


Wednesday
•    9:00 a.m. – Morning Devotion with Dr. Paula Qualls
•    9:15 a.m. – Theme Interpretation with Dr. Doug Bryan
•    9:30 a.m. – Eddie Hammett
•    10:45 a.m. – Dr. Chuck Bugg
•    Noon – Adjourn
