Proceeds to Support Individual Artists and the GWU Art Club

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.— The Gardner-Webb University Art Department is proud to announce the opening of its annual Christmas Art Sale, a fundraiser to support individual artists and the GWU Art Club. The sale offers a variety of original artwork by local artists, and is open from Wednesday, Nov. 16 through Saturday, Nov. 19 in the Communications Studies Hall at Gardner-Webb.

This year’s sale features handmade gifts, jewelry, pottery, fiber arts, and more, all made by local artists, GWU art faculty members, and GWU students.  According to Susan Bell, professor of art at Gardner-Webb, the sale not only provides an opportunity to support local artists, but also offers a variety of gift options just in time for the holidays. “The Art Sale is a great place to find wonderful, one-of-a-kind gifts for family and friends,” said Bell.

The sale is open from 4-9 p.m. on Wednesday, from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday.  For more information, contact Justin Humphries at 704-406-4656.

Located in Boiling Springs, N.C., Gardner-Webb University seeks a higher ground in higher education – one that embraces faith and intellectual freedom, balances conviction with compassion, and inspires in students a love of learning, service, and leadership.
