John Zeller Will Share His Testimony at Dimensions Feb. 25

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Dimensions program at Gardner-Webb University is pleased to welcome the executive director at SCORE International John Zeller as a distinguished speaker. Zeller, who is also the chaplain for the Tampa Bay Yankees and the Saint Leo University baseball team, will share the Word on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 9:25 in the Paul Porter Arena, located inside the Lutz-Yelton Convocation Center (LYCC).

For over 20 years, Zeller has served on the Board of Directors at SCORE International under the direction of its founder, Ron Bishop. He travels all around the country speaking at churches, sporting events, camps and conferences. Through sports, Zeller has been able to give back to his community and relay his message for God by serving as a head coach and athletic director on both the high school and collegiate levels.

“John Zeller was recommended to me by Gardner-Webb University head baseball coach, Rusty Stroupe,” said Dr. Tracy Jessup, vice president for Christian Life and Service and senior minister to the University. “God has used John in a mighty way to impact the lives of both athletes and non-athletes through sports outreach.  We are blessed to have this leader from an internationally recognized sports ministry on our campus.”

Zeller has been recently diagnosed with prostate cancer but with the love and support from SCORE International he has been able to maintain his active schedule. He currently resides in Florida with his wife Katie and two sons, Chad and Chip.

SCORE International began as a sports ministry, but soon expanded to a global missions ministry that now evangelizes, equips and encourages. SCORE International has taken over 25,000 people on short-term missions trips in the past 5 years and are trying to expand on that ministry with medical outreaches, construction trips, sports teams and even church choirs.
