In the Master of Business Administration program, you will learn techniques for being innovative in solving problems and making decisions, with opportunities to study with other professionals who have similar interests and varying work experience.

Curriculum

What You’ll Learn

While developing your knowledge of key business functions such as accounting, economics and marketing, you will also gain reality-based experience through internships, service opportunities, course projects, course simulations and interactions with business leaders. Emphasis areas in accounting, banking and finance, economics, forensic accounting, healthcare management, human resource management, international business, marketing, management information systems, sport management, and tax accounting are available.

The MBA program includes online options, and you will work with your academic advisor to determine the best path for you.

Available Programs

Master of Business Administration

In addition to the University’s required prerequisites, the Master of Business Administration require 30 credit hours of graduate-level studies. Each course is three credit hours. The curriculum requires the completion of a capstone course in strategic management.

Accelerated Master of Business Administration

The Accelerated Master of Business Administration (MBA) program allows undergraduate Gardner-Webb students to begin work in the MBA program while completing their bachelor’s degree.  

Qualified students may apply for admission to the Accelerated MBA during their junior year (or after 60 credit hours). If accepted, students can take up to six credit hours of graduate coursework to apply toward their MBA degree and earn combination credit for these hours at the undergraduate level. 

Courses in this program are taught online in eight-week terms to increase flexibility.  

Graduates from the Godbold College of Business Bachelor of Science degree programs will be seamlessly admitted into the following programs: Master of Business Administration, Master of Sport Management, or International Master of Business within one year of graduation. Graduates from the Godbold College of Business Bachelor of Science in Accounting program will be seamlessly admitted into the Master of Accounting program within one year of graduation.
