Mission and Scope
The mission of the University Archives is to collect, preserve, organize, and provide access to materials that document and define the history of Gardner-Webb University and the organizations instrumental in its founding and early development. University Archives is the repository for the historical records of Gardner-Webb University. Materials in the collection date back to the early 1900’s. Items included in the collection are:
- University Catalogs
- University scrapbooks
- Information about the development and activities of student organizations, academic departments, buildings on campus, and the Board of Trustees.
- Documentation on major fundraising campaigns, SACS accreditation, and Presidential appointments.
Dover Library Special Collections maintains and provides access to several collections relating to local history and Baptist history and life. Our collections currently include:
- Thomas Dixon Collection
- Hymnology Collection
- Baptist History and Theology Collection
