Dr. Jeffrey W. Richmond, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Music, School of Performing and Visual Arts

Dr. Richmond has had nine compositions accepted for publication during the 2010-2011 academic year. "Balancing Act," "Bucket O' Fish," "Up In The Air," "BookFace," "After the Rain," "Window Seat," "Gone Till November," and "Alone in the Shade" are all to be published by Walrus Music Publishing/Otter Distribution, 2011. His trumpet ensemble work, "Bishou," will be published by System Blue Publishing, a subsidiary of Row Loff Productions, 2011. Dr. Richmond performed with the John Brown Jazz Quartet from Duke University at the NCMEA State Conference in Winston-Salem on November 7, 2010, performed live jazz on WNCW radio on April 19, 2011, and performed with the Carolina Brass on April 24, 2011. In addition, Dr. Richmond's music compositions continue to be performed around the world, most recently at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Canada, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the University of Kansas, and at the University of Oregon.
