Gardner-Webb University is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the small town of Boiling Springs, N.C. Nearby Shelby is noted for its support of the arts and as the home of state and national leaders. Fifty miles east of Gardner-Webb is the thriving city of Charlotte, the largest city in the Carolinas.

Student Life
The Gardner-Webb campus is friendly and busy. A student can't walk across the Quad without someone (usually a bunch of people) saying "hi."
Student-athletes appreciate GWU's 21 varsity sports, as well as more than 20 intramurals.
Gardner-Webb has great things in mind for all of its students. Each student's beliefs are exponentially strengthened by getting to know the world around them.
Faculty
Faculty members at Gardner-Webb are seasoned academics and consummate professionals. Many have taught at GWU for more than 20 years.
Professors hail from such places as Duke and Columbia, and they love the small class sizes here at GWU (the student–faculty ratio is about 13 to 1).
