The Pittman Center for Congregational Enrichment

PCCE Lay Institute of Religion Spring 2008 Schedule

C. O. and Eliza Greene Lectures on Pastoral Ministry

Welcome to the M. Christopher White School of Divinity's Center for Congregational Enrichment. The Center's purpose is to offer educational and enrichment opportunities for both laity and clergy who are not enrolled as degree-seeking students in the School of Divinity. Our goal is to be a full-service provider to the churches by delivering a full range of support services to congregations.

The Center offers classes, seminars, and conferences on the Gardner-Webb University campus, at various off-campus sites, and soon, on-line, as continuing education for growth in ministry. For clergy, the Center, through its CCE Continuing Education program, offers church staff team-building retreats utilizing Gardner-Webb's beautiful campus facilities, as well as classes in worship, preaching, and church administration. For the laity, the Center's Lay Institute of Religion offers classes specially designed for laypersons which include courses in the Bible, theology, teacher training, deacon ministry, and church leadership, as well as courses in spirituality and health/wellness.

You are especially invited to be a part of one or several of these opportunities for spiritual enrichment. Join with other Christians of various denominations in developing a dynamic spirituality that is itself a powerful witness in the twenty-first century. Our hope is to enable Christians "to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18).
