Program Descriptions

Colorado/Arizona Mission Trip

Four mission teams went to Cortez, Colorado to work in a local church before spending part of the week on a Native American reservation ministering in various ways to the Hopi and Navajo tribes.

Clayton King and Brian Burgess led all four teams, and developed increasingly stronger connections with tribal leaders and local churches.  Brian Burgess has continued to lead other groups from Western Ave. Baptist Church in Statesville, North Carolina to follow up on the work started through the Lilly Program.

Crossroads Worldwide will continue to send mission trips to this area with the next trip scheduled for spring 2008.

Some of the work the teams completed included speaking and ministering in local schools and offering different programs to middle school and high school students.  Programs were held for women and children at the Chapterhouse.  The groups led in worship in local churches, as well as did a number of service projects at the request of local tribal leaders.
