Financial Aid

God has great things in mind for all of us, particularly, perhaps, for those preparing for the ministry. Gardner-Webb University is strongly committed to Christian higher education and demonstrates that commitment by offering financial aid for Divinity School students.

Through the generosity of donors and the support of the North Carolina Baptist State Convention, 98 percent of our students receive some sort of financial aid, whether it’s a scholarship, assistantship, loan, or work study program. Some of the awards include:

Gardner Webb University Theological Grant. These grants are made possible through gifts of supporters of the School of Divinity. Grants are awarded to students based on need and are renewable each semester.

North Carolina Baptist State Convention Grant. The State Convention of North Carolina provides scholarship money each semester for students who have been a member of a North Carolina Baptists Church for at least one year and who intend to minister in North Carolina. These grants are based on the number of credit hours taken (up to ninety hours).

Christian Service Organization. The Christian Service Organization is a campus organization that supports both undergraduate and graduate studetns who are pursuing a call to ministry. CSO award recipients are itnerviewed to determine their eligibility for receiving scholarhip aid.

Federal Student Loans. Divinity School students may apply for student loans through the financial aid office.

Charles B. Keesee Foundation Grants. Students who are residents
of North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia and are Baptist may apply to the Charles B. Keesee Foundation for theological grants.  For more information and to download a copy of the application please visit www.cbkeesee.com
