GARDNER-WEBB UNIVERSITY seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor of School Administration/Education Leadership for a tenure-track position in the School of Education, beginning August 2008. Qualifications include Ph.D./Ed.D. in School Administration/Educational Leadership; public school teaching and administrative experience with higher education teaching experience preferred; and valid North Carolina license in School Administration/Educational Leadership (or eligibility for licensure). Individual will teach in Master’s and Doctoral programs at both main and satellite campuses; advise graduate students; supervise graduate interns; and perform scholarly, professional, and community service within university, local, and professional communities. Staff Positions
Library Periodicals Assistant
Dover Memorial Library has an opening for a Periodicals Assistant. This person will process and maintain periodicals, church curriculum lab materials, and bindery orders of library items and graduate dissertations/theses. Additionally, this person will assist patrons, troubleshoot and service machines, maintain records and statistics, backup circulation as needed, assist with daily closing procedures, and participate in other library projects. The Periodicals Assistant reports to the Public Services Librarian.
Candidates should have at least 2 years of college, preferably with an associate's degree or higher, and must possess good computer and communication skills. They should be self-motivated, flexible, friendly, and have a satisfactory work history, including excellent attendance and punctuality.

The Division of Student Development at Gardner-Webb University is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director of Counseling & Career Services. Responsibilities include leading a comprehensive program of supervising licensed counselors, career staff, office staff, interns, and student workers. The Director is expected to be personally involved with hands-on counseling and career work. This position will also have opportunity to teach in areas of qualification and will report directly to the Vice President and Dean of Student Development.
Gardner-Webb University is a private, Christian, Baptist-related university and is located approximately 50 miles west of Charlotte in Boiling Springs, North Carolina. The total enrollment is slightly more than 4,000 with approximately 1,100 living on campus. Gardner-Webb University employs individuals who participate in and wholeheartedly support Christian values.
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent from a regionally accredited institution. Preference is for a LPC who is a committed Christian with strong relational and organizational skills. Experience in working with college students and an understanding of their developmental needs are necessary.

EDUCATIONAL INTERPRETER
Gardner-Webb University is searching for a person to fill the position of Educational Interpreter. Responsibilities include interpreting for undergraduate and graduate level classes, extracurricular activities and Deaf university professors. Occasional evening and weekend work. Department of Religious Studies and Philosophy
The Gardner-Webb University Department of Religious Studies and Philosophy seeks candidates for a one-year appointment to a full-time teaching position. Minimum qualifications: M.A. or M. Div. inreligion or theology, doctorate preferred. Some graduate work in psychology or counseling is highly preferred. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in psychology of religion, behavioral foundations of religious education, history & philosophy of religious education, and possibly OT or NT surveys.
