Q: How do I get onto the Internet and get hooked up?
A: All of our students connect to our network, WEBBNET. They hook up via a network card, which should be installed in their PC or laptop. Each dorm room has one network outlet. Dorm residents who wish to have two computers hooked up in one room are responsible for purchasing a hub to share the connection. The University Commons apartments, which have individual bedrooms, have a port in each room. Each dorm or apartment building has a Residence Technician (Res-Tech). The Res-Tech is responsible for making sure each resident in his or her building is connected to the Internet upon their arrival to campus. Students should contact their Res-Tech via the Res-Tech hotline at x.3325 for assistance in getting connected.
