NCLEX-RN Exam
The NCLEX-RN (National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses) is administered by state boards of nursing to ensure safe and effective nursing care for the public. Each State Board of Nursing regulates the practice of nursing in that state. In order for you to practice as a registered nurse, you must pass the licensure examination. The NC Board of Nursing uses the above test to ensure minimum competency for entry-level practice for graduates of approved programs of nursing education.

Assessment Technology Institute (ATI) Assessment Driven Review (ADR)

ATI is a comprehensive program of nursing content review and practice to help student’s master concepts. Students receive books and DVD’s in content areas of nutrition, fundamentals of nursing, pharmacology, maternal/newborn nursing, and nursing care of children, mental health community health, leadership and medical-surgical nursing. Additionally, at the end of each course, a proctored ATI examination is given through the website to allow students to test on a computer and to assess any knowledge deficits in that specific nursing content. Students also can take non-proctored assessments at any time to assess their knowledge in that area and to assess their readiness for NCLEX-RN.

After graduation, students take a Kaplan NCLEX-RN review course that is offered on campus. On-Line reviews are offered through the Kaplan office in Charlotte, NC (704-522-7600) or through the Kaplan website listed above.
