HOW TO APPLY FOR GRADUATION

  1. As soon as the student registers for the last course(s), the student must apply for graduation. Please, make sure to apply before deadlines as indicate in Registrar Office Calendar. 
  2. Download “Graduation Application Coversheet”, and complete the required information and sign it. (Please, do not worry about other signatures, we will obtain the required signatures for you).
  3. Run a "Degree Evaluation":
    • Logon to MyWebb, click on your Student tab (Faculty tab for Faculty and Staff)
    • Click on the words "Click here to..." under Academic Services
    • Click on "Student & Financial Aid"
    • Click on "Student Records"
    • Click on "Degree Evaluation"
    • Follow the prompts to generate a Degree Evaluation and print out the “Detail Requirements”.  Make sure that All Requirements are MET.
  4. Submit both Graduation Application and Degree Evaluation to the Graduate School of Business or Fax it: 704-406-2261 by the deadline listed on the Registrar Office website. Please, avoid late fees and send this as soon as possible. 
  5. Please, make sure to mark your calendar to participate in both HOODING CEREMONY and COMMENCEMENT. The Hooding Ceremony is usually celebrated the day (on Sundays) before commencement (on Mondays). For more information about this celebration, please, contact Ms. Natetsa Lawrence at tlawrence@gardner-­‐webb.edu or 704-­‐406-­‐2260. Participation in both the Hooding and Commencement ceremonies is not required but your presence is appreciated!
  6. If participating in these Ceremonies, make arrangements to acquire Cap and Gown. Information is available at the Registrar Office Website
  7. Finally, once you have completed step 1 to 3, make sure to check that your name is listed on the Graduating Students Lists posted at the Registrar Office Website

MBA PLUS CERTIFICATE COMPLETION APPLICATION

If you are an MBA-PLUS student, you must fill out the "Completion Application form" as soon as you register for your last courses. The MBA-PLUS Certificate will be presented during the Hooding Ceremonies usually performed on Sundays before commencements. Once you send the application form, you will receive an invitation for you and your guests to attend. For more information, please, contact Ms. Natetsa Lawrence at tlawrence@gardner- ‐webb.edu or 704- ‐406- ‐2260.
