GWU Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) take first runner-up in Southeast region competition
On April 1st, 2008 the Gardner-Webb University School of Business Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) team participated in the National SIFE Regional Competition, held in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Gardner-Webb SIFE team was awarded first runner up in the Southeast region. The event was one of 16 SIFE USA Regional Competitions held across the United States during March and April, 2008.
SIFE is an international non-profit organization active on more than 1,400 university campuses in 48 countries. SIFE teams create economic opportunities in their communities by organizing outreach projects that teach: market economics, entrepreneurship, personal financial success skills, and business ethics. These projects are judged on their creativity, innovation and effectiveness by business leaders and senior executives from nationally acclaimed firms.
