Gardner-Webb University is proud to present the Broadway Musical hit Li’l Abner! This wonderful story of Daisy Mae Scragg and her handsome Abner has entertained audiences for almost sixty years. Set in the imaginary town of Dogpatch USA (located somewhere in the Appalachian Mountains), this story of this play is particularly poignant for the audiences of western North Carolina due to its close proximity to the Appalachian Trail. Li’l Abner is a collaborative project of GWU Theater and GWU Fine Arts and is expected to be the biggest and best musical ever presented at the university.Performance dates: 1 - 4 April 2009 at 7:30 P.M.
