Luedeman has nearly 20 years of professional and academic communications experience—including a five-year stint as director of university communications at USC Upstate during the mid to late 1990s and the management of her own communications firm, LL Communications. Her research interests include ethics in public relations, public relations theory, communitarianism and its role in community journalism as well as media effects and the changing landscape of news delivery. Luedeman has won numerous awards for her public relations and writing efforts, is involved in professional and personal community activities, and is a graduate of Leadership Spartanburg. She is also the mother of two very active sons (ages 4 and 6) and the spouse of a high school history teacher/cross country and track coach at Chesnee High School.
