Mr. Keene worked for several years in the Los Angeles area as a makeup artist and prop master. He was a makeup artist for Knott’s Berry Farm’s Scream Team and a prosthetic and prop sculptor for Six Flag’s Magic Mountain. His credits also include makeup for music videos by Danny Elfman and the Talking Heads. In 1994, he relocated to Nashville where he toured with the missionary mime team "All The World’s A Stage." While in Nashville, he also worked as head of the makeup department for Opryland USA’s Howl-0-ween, as well as a makeup artist for the Nashville Opera’s Aida. He also designed props for the Tennessee Repertory Theatre and the Nashville Shakespeare Festival. He has also worked on "La Traviata" for the Piedmont Opera, "Henry IV, part one' for the North Carolina Shakespeare Festival and " Having Our Say' for the Little Theatre of Winston-Salem. Chris joined the faculty of GWU in 2002.
