Mrs. Bridges has over 5 years of teaching experience in graphic arts and print media. She taught courses in digital media and print while pursuing her Master of Arts degree in Graphic Arts and Imaging Technology at Appalachian State University. She then taught at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College in Richmond, VA as a Visual Arts instructor. She most recently was Professor of Digital Arts at Horry-Georgetown Technical College in Myrtle Beach, SC where she taught a wide array of graphic arts and digital media courses.
Mrs. Bridges has graphic arts experience in print media from Minor's Printing in Boone, NC. Mrs. Bridges has regularly advised area businesses on aspects of advertising and print media. In her teaching, Mrs. Bridges seeks to fill the gap between theoretical and practical application. She remains professionally active in the graphic arts field through frequent conference and membership participation, including most recently the Adobe Creative Suite Workshop in Asheville, NC. She has also been a member of Coastal Advertising and Marketing Professionals.
Courses she has taught include: Introduction to Computer Graphics, Advanced Computer Graphics, Graphic Design & Publication, Advanced Photoshop, Dreamweaver/Flash, Graphic Design Portfolio, along with several others relating to printing and design. Mrs. Bridges joined the Gardner-Webb faculty in Fall 2008.
