Faculty Spotlight - Dr. Ken Baker

Since 2005, Dr. Ken Baker served as the department chair and professor for the department of Physical Education, Wellness, and Sport Studies. He’s taught a myriad of courses for Gardner-Webb University, both graduate and undergraduate.

 

Dr. Baker earned his Ph. D from the University of Georgia, an M.A. from Furman University, and a B.A. from Southern Wesleyan University.

 

Dr. Baker has written for the “Journal of Physical Education”, Recreation & Dance”, “Golf Science International”, and “Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport”. He’s received the Certificate of Excellence and the Student Opinion of Instruction award from Gardner-Webb University.

 

Dr. Baker is a member of both the American and North Carolina Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance, as well as the National Association for Sport and Physical Education.
