Sigma Zeta National Science and Math Honor Society

The National Science and Mathematics Honors Society Sigma Zeta recognizes outstanding scholarship in natural sciences, computer science, and mathematics. To be eligible for membership, you must have completed 25 semester hours including 15 hours in the natural sciences or mathematics, have a GPA of 3.0 in all science and mathematics courses, and an overall GPA of 2.75 or higher. Sigma Zeta seeks to encourage students and to recognize and honor their scholarly achievement.

Qualifications to Join

• be a Natural Science, Computer Science, Math, or Math Education major

• have completed 25 hours towards your major

• have completed 15 hours of science and math classes

• have a minimum 3.0 GPA in science and math

• have a minimum 2.75 overall GPA -pay your membership dues

 

Math Club

As part of the Math Club, you’ll be able to interact with professors and classmates through fun and enriching activities. Math Club social activities including hiking South Mountain, hosting a movie night, and taking a field trip to the Cleveland County Fair. You’ll also be able to participate in service projects such as Octoberfest, Operation Christmas Child, and collecting cards for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
