Dear Graduation Applicant:

We have received your  application for graduation. Unofficial transcripts are available by logging on  to myWebb. The Graduation Information link from the Registrar’s webpage (http://www.gardner-webb.edu/registrar)  includes a copy of this letter, copies of all attachments, a graduation list  showing the name, intended degree, and major.

Your name as printed in  the address on this letter will be listed in the graduation bulletin and also printed on your diploma. Please note, this is your name as we have it recorded.  If your legal name is different from that listed above, please submit a  photocopy of a legal document (i.e. driver’s license, S.S. card)  (Fax-704-406-4261). The name,  Ima Student,  will be used to order your diploma unless you notify us by September 25, 2009. After  this date, there will be an additional $25 charge to re-order a diploma due to a name change.

For students completing  degree requirements in August, a preliminary audit has been completed. The final  audit is not complete until all degree requirements are met and final grades are entered in August. Students are responsible for meeting all degree requirements. Undergraduates: Major requirements with C or better in each major course, 128 total hours academic credit, a minimum 2.0 Gardner-Webb GPA (transfer students must complete 64 senior college hours). Courses count for credit only once (considerable effort is made to code courses that are repeated; please check with me if there is a question). Transcripts for any transient work must be received by the Registrar’s Office prior to December 9, 2009. Incomplete grades  from a previous semester must also be completed and grades submitted by  mid-term.  All grade changes, once processed, are available for viewing via the  on-line transcript as soon as changes are made by the Registrar’s Office.

Undergraduate Students Only:  Graduation Honors: Associate degree students whose GPAs overall and Gardner-Webb’s GPA are 3.2 or more are designated as Honor Students. To be considered for baccalaureate honors, a graduating student must complete a  minimum of 64 hours at Gardner-Webb University and his or her GPA for that work taken here must merit honors. Those in the upper 12% of the graduating class  will receive honors. (See your Catalog). Please contact your advisor if you have questions regarding the honors policy.

If  you have questions regarding your application for graduation, please contact the  Registrar’s Office.

Sincerely,

LouAnn Scates, Registrar
