Withdrawal

This form should only be used after classes have begun. If you are trying to cancel your schedule for the next semester, please go the "Cancellation" link.

The withdrawal period begins after the allotted time students are given to adjust their schedule through the drop/add process. Gardner-Webb University services two withdrawal periods. The first is known as the "Withdrawal" period. During this period, a student may withdraw from one course or all courses with a grade of "W." This grade will show on your academic transcript however it does not affect your GPA. Please refer to the Academic Calendar for the dates associated with your current semester/term.

The second withdrawal period is known as "Withdrawal Pass/Withdrawal Fail." This begins after the "W" deadline. During this period, a student may withdraw from one course or all courses with a grade of "WP" or "WF." This grade will show on your academic transcript and it may affect your GPA. While a "WP" will not affect your GPA, a "WF" will count against your GPA and calculate the same as a "F." While the initial grade at the time of withdrawal is a "WP," the professor of the course has the option to change the grade to a "WF." This request may be made by the instructor through the end of the semester/term. Please refer to the Academic Calendar for the dates associated with your current semester/term.
