Staff Positions




Experienced Programmer / Analyst Requirements:
  • Experience with Oracle SQL is required and candidates with PL/SQL experience will be considered over those with no PL/SQL experience.  Thorough knowledge of HTML and interactive website planning, programming, and deployment is required. (Experience with Oracle web programming is strongly preferred)
  • Programming Experience with SunGard Banner Administrative System
  • Knowledge of a relational database and the ability to navigate and relate data in the database is required. (Oracle 9i or 10g experience is preferred)
  • Experience with Crystal Reports or a related report generating software is required.
  • The successful candidate must be a self starter requiring minimal training and supervision.
  • Good communication skills and people skills are a must.
Preferred Experience:
  • Oracle PL/SQL Toolkit for developing web applications
  • Oracle Forms Programming.
  • SunGard Banner Experience is a very strong plus

Faculty Positions

Instructor / Assistant Professor of English -  Gardner-Webb University invites applications for one full-time position, beginning August 2008. Primary responsibilities will include teaching developmental reading and writing with a possibility of teaching first-year composition as needed. Ability to teach literature surveys or online courses a plus. Load will be four courses each semester. Candidates must have university-level teaching experience and at least a Masters degree in Reading or English with a doctorate preferred. Assistant Professor of Strategy/Business Administration


Assistant Professor of Marketing/Management

Gardner-Webb University invites applications for tenure-track positions for the above positions.   Ph.D or D.B.A., excellent teaching credentials. ABD’s nearing completion will be considered. Ability to work in a team environment required.

Responsibilities: teach undergraduate and graduate classes in areas of concentration and other related business courses. Other responsibilities include student advising and committee assignments. Off campus/evening teaching likely.
